A large and hard, yet creamy Nakayama natural stone, perfect for kasumi polishing, which creates a high contrast between the jigane (soft iron) and hagane (hard steel).

The finish becomes silky matte on a kiridashi with an iron cladding, and the bite of the edge is excellent.
