Bunka, a Japanese allrounder, featuring a blade that measures 173 mm from tip to heel. This knife is handcrafted, and Kato-san has dedicated immense effort to creating the stunning patterns on each blade. A true work of art!

Yoshimi Kato is a highly esteemed blacksmith admired by knife enthusiasts worldwide. He belongs to the third generation of the Kato family of smiths and works in Takefu/Echizen. His workshop shares space with notable craftsmen like Shiro Kamo and Hideo Kitaoka at the Takefu Knife Village. Yoshimi Kato's uncle, Hiroshi Kato, was one of the pioneers who helped establish Takefu Knife Village as a hub for smiths to exchange ideas and refine their craft.
Yoshimi specializes in double-beveled knives and, like many other blacksmiths, adheres to his unique techniques without deviation. He is a very pleasant individual and an exceptionally skilled craftsman.
