Creamy-smooth kasumi stone with moderate hardness.

Nakayama natural stone for kasumi polishing. It provides good contrast between jigane and hagane. Not mirror-like, but with subtle shades of light gray.
The sensation while sharpening is reminiscent of working on frozen butter: quiet, hard, and creamy-smooth. The finish is medium-light kasumi with high contrast and a silky texture. When we tested the stone on a kiridashi, we were able to apply significant pressure without scratching the surface. In other words, an excellent kasumi stone.

The edge structure becomes glossy while still retaining its bite.
