Nakiri
Kategori
Nakiri 140 mm in Shirogami #1 carbon steel
A compact nakiri with clear tapering and a thin edge. Hand-forged with a core of Shirogami #1 and iron cladding, delivering a very fine edge that is easy to sharpen and responds immediately on the stone.
The blade features a kurouchi finish – a dark, raw forged surface that gives a rustic appearance while offering some protection against oxidation. The geometry is relatively robust at the heel but tapers quickly, resulting in a stable yet efficient feel for vegetable prep.
The shorter blade length (140 mm) makes the knife nimble and easy to control, especially on smaller cutting boards or for more precise work.
The handle is oval, made from red sandalwood with a black pakkawood bolster – a classic and durable combination with a secure grip.
