Kiritsuke
From the heart of Sanjo in Niigata comes Tetsuhiro Kankou, a knife series that reflects both tradition and modern craftsmanship in Japanese knife making.
Each knife is produced by Satoshi Kiryu, the third-generation craftsman at Kiryu Kogyo, a family workshop with nearly a hundred years of experience. Known for his practical Western-style knives, Satoshi Kiryu has with this series refined his work further, focusing on precision, balance, and clean execution in every detail.
The blade core is made from SG-2 powder stainless steel, offering excellent hardness and edge retention. It is clad in nickel damascus steel with a deep, textured pattern that gives each knife a distinct appearance.
The handle is made from ebony with a buffalo horn ferrule, providing good balance and a comfortable grip.
