Bunka with a 170 mm blade. Every aspect of this knife is handmade, and Kamo-san has collaborated with a highly skilled handle maker to give each creation a unique character. It is the same handle maker responsible for the handles on the now highly sought-after “Tanaka R2 Custom” knives.

The handle is handcrafted from turquoise composite with a speckled black pattern and features two mosaic pins. It is also sculpted to fit the natural shape of the hand, giving the blade an exceptionally fine and neutral balance. Shiro Kamo always delivers knives with the highest possible performance. The blades are thin and can easily be sharpened to razor-like sharpness. The steel is a stainless powder steel called SG-2, hardened to 62–63 HRC. Surrounding the powder steel core are several layers of softer steel, giving each knife a unique and beautiful pattern (known as Damascus steel).
