Kashima Migaki is a refined Japanese knife series that combines clean lines, high precision, and a distinctly modern aesthetic. The series consists of six models and is produced in Seki, one of Japan's most renowned cities for knife making.
The blades are made from F440AF monosteel, a stainless steel containing approximately 0.7% carbon. An improved version of the classic 440A steel, F440AF offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and ease of maintenance. The monosteel construction creates a clean, minimalist appearance without cladding line. The blade faces feature a polished migaki finish with a slight mirror effect, emphasizing the knives' elegant geometry while giving the series a premium appearance. Each blade is ground with a thin, efficient geometry that minimizes cutting resistance and delivers outstanding cutting performance.
The octagonal handles are crafted from stabilized maple, showcasing vibrant turquoise hues and unique natural figuring. The stabilization process enhances the wood's resistance to moisture and movement, while ensuring that every handle has its own distinctive character.
