Munetoshi forges his carbon steel knives entirely by hand and primarily works with Shirogami #2 carbon steel. In addition to knives, he also makes garden axes and sickles. His philosophy is that a tool should be used, and he focuses on creating blades that cut exceptionally well while remaining durable. Less emphasis is placed on cosmetic finish, so you can expect a product with a rugged appearance but outstanding cutting performance.

Note: Neither the core steel nor the outer cladding is stainless. Always dry the edge thoroughly after use to prevent rust from forming.
