Clap Design has developed an exciting magnetic strip with stunning design. The embedded neodymium magnets are strong and securely hold knives in place. Additionally, the knives sit extra firmly thanks to the generous spacing between the rows of magnets. We highly recommend it!

Knives have varying levels of magnetism depending on the type of steel. Carbon steel, for example, adheres better than stainless steel. The grind and finish of the blade also have an effect, as does the knife’s weight. We therefore recommend mounting the strip horizontally, as not all knives adhere well to a vertically mounted magnetic knife strip.

The strip can be mounted in two ways: either with the included 3M adhesive tape or with 4 screws in the wall, whose screw heads are countersunk into the back of the strip and held in place by magnetic force.

Not: Stainless blades with shiny surface and a lot of weight will not have the same strong grip as light carbon steel knives
