Moribashi are traditional Japanese plating chopsticks used for precision tasks in the kitchen, particularly when arranging sushi, sashimi, and other dishes where accuracy and control are essential.
The tips are made from stainless steel, offering durability and resistance to corrosion, while allowing for careful handling of both raw and cooked ingredients. The handles and matching saya (protective sheath) are crafted from ebony, a dense, stable hardwood traditionally used in Japanese tool-making for its longevity and refined appearance.
Each pair comes in a fabric case with a traditional knife cord for secure storage and transport.
Available in 150 mm, 165 mm, and 180 mm lengths, suited to a range of plating tasks – from delicate garnish placement to handling larger components.
