The Hinoura family is well known for its exclusive and hand-forged knives. Tsukasa and son Mutsumi work in the city of Sanjo, Niigata in Japan, a city that is also famous for its fine Sake. The knives that leave Hinoura's hands are well forged and very sharp. A lot of focus is placed on the heat treatment so that each blade will perform optimally over time, something that strongly contributed to their good reputation worldwide.
